Try to find blueberry quark. It is fantastic!
Quark is very common in Europe and especially in Scandinavian countries. Quark is a cultured dairy product, which is high in protein, low in sugar, and creamier and milder than Greek yogurt. Quark is so good!
Quark is available nowadays also in the US. Vermont Creamery, Wünder Creamery, Misha LLC and Elli Quark are known for producing quark in the US.
If you cannot find quark, use low-fat ice cream or vanilla sauce instead!
All my recipes are for two servings.
- 2 pots (packages) of 7 oz (200 g) blueberry quark (or natural quark)
- ½ cup (120 ml) raspberries
- 4 oz (110 g) mandarin orange slices
- ¼ cup (60 ml) wild blueberries
How to prepare:
If you use frozen berries, bring the berries to room temperature 2 hours before cooking. Then they are slightly cold but not frozen. Divide the quark between two dessert bowls. Add raspberries, mandarin orange slices and blueberries on the quark.
This dessert is simple to do and has tons of flavor and vitamins.
